Thanks for sharing your experience installing Drupal7 locally in a windows PC. I also installed locally Drupal7 in an Apple iBook G4 Mac OS 10.4 (old and hand-me-down unit) using MAMP free version.
Yes, Drupal 7 looks great! I can't wait to see the stable version!
