Hi everyone.
I'm new to XMPP, and I've been tasked to add a facebook-style chat feature to our company site. Since we rely on Google Apps, we are looking to use Google Talk as our jabber server instead of running our own. From what I've been able to gather online, it should work like this: Chat on our site >> Punjab >> Google Talk. I have Punjab installed, but what I don't understand is how does Punjab know to talk to Google Talk? Am I supposed to be setting up a proxy? After I finally get the set up correct, is running DXMPP my only option? From what I could tell, XMPP Client seems to want a local jabber server.

Yes, wouldn't that be great? A free service provided by google.
Jabber.org might also work for MUCs (multi user conferences aka chat rooms). Google does not provide that functionality.
