Hi All,

Does anyone have any updates on the status of the Darwincore Specimen and Location module. Perhaps it is better to use this code? Last time I tried this module I found it to be slightly broken and now I'm guessing it may not be up to date with the Darwin Core Standard, to boot.

Thanks,

The module is being maintained, and is still in full use. All of the Scratchpads are currently using the module.

You are right, you're better off using the code straight from SVN, rather than the code released on the Scratchpad Dev site, although this should change in the near future.

If you have any issues with the module, please do email me, and I'll see if I can fix them.

I saw the note that Darwin Core will be moving to https://git.scratchapds.eu. Is this project ever going to show up on Drupal.org? I would be much more inclined to use/experiment with it if it were hosted there. Module updates, issue queues and documentation would all be much more convenient.

Convenient for you, but not

Convenient for you, but not for us. For now, most of the modules that we write are only available on our code repository, although some of them do get released to drupal.org.

Fork

If someone wanted to fork the code and put it up on drupal.org, would you be okay with that?

In short, no.
