The sixth Brevard County Drupal meetup will take place on Thursday, September 9 at 7pm in downtown Melbourne.

The meetup will take place at the offices of Radiant Blue - 516 East New Haven Avenue. As part of the agreement to use their facilities, everyone walking through the door must sign the visitor's sheet. For this first meetup, there will not be WiFi access, but we will have access to a presentation screen and there will be one computer with internet connectivity. Since I'll be presenting, this won't be a problem. There will most likely be WiFi access at future meetups at this location.

I'll be leading a discussion about image workflows - different ways for content administrators to add images to nodes. Specifically, I'll be talking about the Image Resize Filter, Insert, and Imagefield Crop as well as other related modules.

Since the location is in downtown Melbourne, let's make an evening out of it and plan on grabbing drink at one of downtown's many fine establishments after the meetup.

On our subject of images that Mike did, I saw this module: http://drupal.org/project/smartcrop
It looks like an intelligent crop, that doesn't cut people's faces off. I haven't tried it though.

entropy?

I saw that as well - I don't understand what "crops based on entropy" means. It sounds like it might be analyzing the photo somehow to figure out the best way to crop it???
