Okay just an awesome Idea that came to me the other night..
Why do we all collectively make others more rich by paying them over-inflated housing costs?
Can't we band together as drupallers! In our own house.
The ad reads.. 10 Awesome Drupal Enthusiasts seeks large house.
-In a central Vancouver location.
I'm thinking cheap rent, save like students.
And do house Projects, build a name and eventually pay rent with the money earned doing development work.
Yes this involves a lot of trust and freespirit, and I'm willing to do most of the work.. Who's with me.
Eventually we could expand into a secondary location.
The main idea is that by grouping us together we can learn from each other, and build some awesome websites!!
I'm not saying educate rookies for free, we would all have to pull our own weight. We need people like:
Junior Developers, Graphic Designers, PHP Ninjas, Project Organizer, Marketing Monkeys.
Anyone have any thoughts? Willing to donate a house? Living in vancouver and want to chat more!? Anything!
I don't think this has been done before or has it?
Of course travelling Drupallists can stay in the guest room, we'll provide free shelter to our kin...

I actually had a comment written up earlier but didn't post it :P I think combining business and housing is a little funky. I know lots of programmers who house together in San Fran...but also all doing coding together is a bit funky.
I think motivated people with shared goals sharing housing is a great idea. I've been looking at co-housing models, because really I'm looking for an apartment building to buy. I might be interested in the right space, but I kind of would want my own space (I'm done with room mates for the time being). While we're asking, I want room for a garden, too :P
Might be fun to use this thread to post some details about houses out there. I guess Commercial or Kits or maybe somewhere over in East Georgia would be places where I would be interested.
