At the Western Montana Drupal Group meeting this week, I briefly introduced my latest commercial Drupal website.
Allen Academy is a small college preparatory academy located in Bryan, TX. The website is located at www.allenacademy.org.
The site is built in Drupal 6 with a number of contributed modules. I'd be happy to have you take a look, and I'm definitely interested in any feedback you may have to offer about the site.
If you have any questions about my process on this site, feel free to let me know in the comments here, and I'll address it.
Thanks!
Scott

Site feedback
Scott,
Nice site. Nice and light, loads well (Nice speed score 86/100) and I like the sidebar 1 blocks that appear after main nav choices are made. Nice color palette as ell.
Some thoughts (hey, you asked)
1) Can't easily tell since compression is in play but I didn't see the code comments?
2) The Slideshow could either load, cycle and stop or a much slower time on cycling the photos. It's a bit distracting.
3) Alt tag on Slideshow pictures?
4) Tabs text could be maximized.
5) Miss Sanders events could be made into a school calender? With a main nav link? She has events that are buried in her blog. [update...found the calender, mayhaps moving it to the main nav?]
6) Suggest that in the bottom of each blog node that the comment and read more buttons get switched in position or move the read more buttons up close to the bottom of the teaser text.
7) In the sidebar 1 blocks the visiting color and visited colors would help people if they were different tones-shades or color.
8) I am torn [Faculty Page] between the endless list and the 'next' page thingy. Personally I like the 'Next' page thing as it keeps each page shorter and easier to navigate.
9) Contact Us page: Odd thing with me and it does seem to cater to older Internet users... Putting a disclaimer (?) above the contact form that reads something like [ Your email address is not sold or traded to anyone. This contact page, when submitted, goes straight to us.]
10) Probably a stretch here...on the International Students page, perhaps a teaser size translation (in the languages that seem to represent the majority of countries Allen Academy educates students from) of that same paragraph? I realize that many countries have some sort of English as a second language and perhaps the Academy is only catering to those who [ so I gather from the text ] have, at least, intermediate English skill sets already.
11) Accommodations page: Captions and Alt tags for the jpgs. Possible user directions on how to use the Google map or have it hyperlink to the other map page?
12) Have all 'off site' pages open in new tabs or windows.
13) Our Campus: Perhaps a campus map?
14) Application link seems to go to text regarding International students, perhaps best placed as a sub child of International Students link? Or have text that include both foreign and domestic students. As is, a tad bit confusing.
15) Visit our campus: Google map and campus map?
16) Begin the Allen Academy Admissions Process: Perhaps as an HTTPS page? This information asked is somewhat sensitive. Many other banking sites and purchasing sites use some the same info.
I realize that some of the suggestions are content based and I am sure you have handed over content management to the site admins. They could hyperlink some of the extra curricular activities to separate club/activity pages.
All-in-all a very well thought out/planned and executed site. Far better than many I see each day. Nice job Scott!
Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to review the site and leave some feedback. It is much appreciated. I won't address all of your points directly, but I will say that many of them are right on. Lots of your suggestions are planned for implementation in the future.
Thanks, again, for taking the time to look through the site.

My pleasure, I realize not all points are valid or valid for this site. It takes all of us and I know you have helped me a lot in my Drupal journey.
