I've been a web designer for a little over 10 years. I've been messing with Drupal for about 3 years now and am addicted. I attended a meeting several months ago and enjoyed meeting everyone. I haven't attended recently because life got crazy including going back to school. I'm so bummed I missed the ubercart presentation. I just started an e commerce site and could have used some tips!
Anyway, back to the point...
I've gone back to school to learn some programming basics. I want to be able to do more than just install modules on my drupal sites... I want to understand how it's working and maybe be able to contribute to modules some day. I have an assignment in one of my classes to interview someone that works in the field that I want. So, I'm looking for someone who is a web programmer that wouldn't mind answering a few questions, either over the phone, or maybe after a drupal meeting?

Great!
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm supposed to conduct my interview next week. I work during the day but could call in the evening. Maybe Tuesday night? It's only 10 questions, so shouldn't take too much of your time. Thanks again!
That works for me. I'll talk
That works for me. I'll talk to you soon. :)

Hey there, I'm sure Cameron
Hey there,
I'm sure Cameron will do an awesome job of answering any questions you have, but there are also a couple other avenues for the long-term (because you're probably going to have more than 10 questions soon ;) ). Check out http://drupal.org/irc for more info on using IRC. We even have a #drupal-idaho channel. The meetups are also good, and post-presentation if you've got questions there are almost always people hanging about. Also check out the forums on drupal.org.
Looking forward to seeing you about!
Cheers!

I've gotten on IRC a few times... always a little hard to compete with everyone else's questions, especially when your question isn't an easy one to answer! :) Is there an IRC channel specific to ubercart. Working on my first drupal store... and a little nervous about making sure everything is setup correctly. I don't have my SSL or payment processor setup, so the checkout isn't working. Also need to go through and get all the settings in ubercart setup. I'm sure I'm going to run into a few questions though! 2a-arms.com/store/ Luckily this is a project for my husbands business, so he's pretty patient with my learning curve. :)
#drupal-idaho
You may have gotten a good answer already. There is a local channel #drupal-idaho which is pretty good for being quiet and having conversations.
