Other issues resolved..... Now what has reared its head is this. Site home page is accessible. However as admin when I try to access site building/modules or for that matter reports/updates or anything the site just spins and thinks. After a bit the error message:

"Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, support@supportwebsite.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Apache/1.3.33 Server at www.dcubedbuilders.com Port 80"

appears. Sometimes if I keep re-loading it will go thru, but for the most part it doesn't. Any thoughts on what could be causing this? Possibly a different issue, I did upgrade Nodewords to the most recent and it broke the site. Deleted and re-installed the previous version and it loads. Help is always appreciated.

Additional info..... If I click on any of the website tabs (home, about us, photos, etc.) everything loads fine. If I click on anything in the admin menu that's where the problem lie.

Now my question is this, if I

Now my question is this, if I disable update, how do I manually check for updates?

A few quick

A few quick observations:

  • Performance is unacceptably slow. The center image of the house with text superimposed takes nearly 7 seconds to load.
  • Your menu's hover font-weight specs changes, which shifts the width of the container, which shifts the row of menu items.
  • to your questions (presuming your on an update-to-date Drupal 6 install)

  • Admin menu: If I were experiencing your problems with Admin Menu, I'd go to the A/M/P error logs to see what errors are being thrown. I'm hunching your seeing memory-related errors.
  • Status Updates: I've never had to disable able this module, the problem is most likely elsewhere. You need the update module to get that convenient list. The other means would be to check each module's info file against the latest per module.
  • Sounds like there isn't

Sounds like there isn't enough memory being allocated for PHP processes. Contact your hosting provider.

    update

For whatever reason, disabling status updates allowed things to load faster. My php5.ini file had disappeared. Re-created it with text wrangler, ftp'd it up to root, increased memory to 192 (the max), enabled update, and things seem to be humming, for now knock on wood. Thanks all for the assistance. Time to attempt ddblock again which means....... I may be posting soon.
