Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

We should be planning the topics of the presentations, sourcing presenters and timetabling the whole event.
URGENT TASKS: Topics (relevant to Drupal in Jamaica), source presenters, organize tracks.

With regards to Drupal within our region, it is a very young technology, therefore not a lot of people are yet exposed to it. So there has to be a lot of "Layman" presentations during the day. I suggested 2 tracks for this very purpose, simultaneous presentations of differing levels of competency and interest.

I am presuming there will be a few categories of people at the camp.

  1. People who are new to web development, yet potential web developers who want to start making websites and are there to find out how Drupal can make it easier.

  2. People who own businesses or lead organizations and want to see how Drupal can manage their web presence or business processes and increase their bottom line.

  3. Current web developers who use other platforms or are just straight coders and are interested in how Drupal can make their work more efficient.

  4. The seasoned Drupallers who are excited about Drupal and are curious as to what more they can do. Also to know whats in store for Drupal in the future, or even how they can collaborate with local Druaplists.

  5. There is also the Web consultants who want to know how best can Drupal be marketed to clients as a viable option, and general tips and tricks of the trade in our local webdev, support and consultancy marketplace.

If you'd like I can do the Presentation on Drupal Multi-Site again. Also not quite sure how applicable this would be now in Jamaica but perhaps a presentation on Mapping in Drupal could be interesting (see Development Seed's tutorial)
