I am really excited about the SF Group (thanks smokinggoat). I am going to try like heck to make it into the city. The biggest problem for me is that I live in the east bay... east of the east bay... a.k.a. the tri-valley (Dublin, Pleasanton, San Ramon, Livermore).
I was wondering if there were any Drupal-ers here in the tri-valley area that would be interested in getting together?

Tri-Valley....
I'm here in Dublin, work in Livermore and am definitely interested in getting together! :)
That's two!
It's a start...
If there are a few more I would be more than happy to play "organizer"... It would be great to talk to a human about Drupal... I've watched so many screencasts, videos, and drupal.org tutorials... and lord knows my wife doesn't get it :) she thinks I'm nuts... I just can't get enough Drupal (even tho I still suck at Views and Panels.. ahhhh)

East East Bay
There's gotta be a couple more people around here. :)
Here in Walnut Creek
I'm over in Walnut Creek, i'd also be interested in forming a group, or just meeting up.
Where do i sign?
I'm here in Pleasanton and Danville. We (Dagaz Solutions) created the SanRamon.org and DanvilleAreaChamber.com sites in Drupal.
Tri-Valley Drupalers -- a meeting place
We are happy to open our humble office in Danville to facilitate getting the group going, or to just have a place to meet "non-digitized" carbon units of Drupalers. SaneAngel, your wife is probably right. ("she thinks I'm nuts...")
Looks like a great start
This is really cool. I think we should look at getting together.
I'm still pretty new to this, do we need an agenda or topic, just start with some wi-fi and food.
Is there a night of the week that is really bad, or really good for a gathering?
A "humble office in Danville" sounds like fun. I can also get us access to a room in a community center in Livermore (they have wi-fi).

The initial gathering should
The initial gathering should probably be a "meet-n-greet " to find out everyone's area-of-expertise and desires for the group. Then possibly start plans to build a group site as a "hands on" group project. There is wi-fi, projector, whiteboards and a fridge :) at the humble office.
Nights or Days?
Meet-N-Greet
Sounds like a good starting point to me.
With a glance at my calendar it looks like Wednesdays are typically good. After work 5:30 or 6, or even late afternoon on a Wednesday.
Anyone else? Good Days... Bad Days... Drupal Days?

Weekday evenings work best

I like Wednesday afternoons
I like Wednesday afternoons best, but flexible. (every day is a drupal day)

r u guys still meeting
I know this thread is a bit dated. Are you guys still meeting?
I live in San Ramon and work in Pleasanton. I've been drupaling for a few years part time and now finally have a day job doing it full time. Just deployed drupal 6 for workday's (my company) customer community. It's a walled garden, sorry can't show it off. But, it's going rather well all for a new community.
Ne way, lemme know if you guys are getting together regularly.
