Hi group, I wanted to make an announcement: The Multisite Search module has lain dormant for a while, but it's just been updated with newer code (that works)!
I administer a 6-site Multisite installation at http://www.thestrong.org. I stumbled upon the Multisite Search module last year, but it was abandoned. I've taken up maintenance, and now version 6.x-2.0 is out there!
Apache Solr has been recommended as the way to do multisite search. However, I think this module fills a nice gap if your site's aren't big enough to justify another server to set up and configure.
What does everyone think of the module? If there's enough support, I'm interesting in working on this for Drupal 7.

I just came across this
I just came across this module this morning and I am hoping that it will answer the problem that I will be trying to solve. So, I'm very interested to see this module have support. I'll begin testing it today as we begin to build out our organization's main website and its various subsites. May take some time to get all subsites done for full testing, but hoping to make some initial test to see if it will work for us.
We definitely cannot look to using Apache Solr in our structure at this point, so this seems like the way to go.
Thanks for picking up the torch on this module and I hope to give you feedback soon.
