New Drupal PGH Meetup Organizers, Process
As we all know, Mark has been doing the administration and organization of our meetup single-handedly for quite a while now. Last meeting we discussed a new admin/organizational structure that will distribute the workload, add some freshness and diversity to point of view and venue, and hopefully invigorate our community and expand our user base. These changes go alongside our initiative to define and standardize Drupal PGH admin workflow, eventually pulling these activities off of scrap paper, conversations, and private email, and onto the new local user groups distro.

Is anyone in our group using D7 / Commerce with the paypal payment method? Seeing a few issues listed as critical / major and I'm working through evaluating it. But i was wondering if anyone has any experience and knows what's broke and what isn't.

I am writing to describe my recent efforts to learn Aegir and to invite interested folks to collaborate with me in the learning experience. (I did attend the meeting at Pitt earlier this year on Aegir, but I don't remember enough of the details.)
I recently set up an ubuntu server at home and installed Aegir, mostly following the great tutorial at: http://friendlydrupal.com/screencasts/how-install-aegir-drupal-hosting-p.... Also, some instructions at: http://www.wepoca.net/how-to-install-aegir-1x-ubuntu

In order to professionally present ourselves to sponsors for the upcoming camp and the community at large, Nate and I are going to do some branding for Drupal Pittsburgh. In short, we're going to develop an attractive logo and some guidelines on how to use it.
Read moreLocal User Groups Distribution?
So we've been talking about creating a [Non-g.d.o.] site for DrupalPGH for a while now, and the idea of creating a distribution to share with other local user groups would seem to fulfill that need, give us an interesting topic to discuss and build, and create a tool for other user groups. Question is, what should such a distro look like? Are other user groups interested in such a thing? I know many groups have non-g.d.o. sites, the content and functionality seems to vary quite a bit.

Time to get this going!
We talked a bit about this at the meetup tonight, agreeing that pinning down a date and location/space will be key first steps. This is a thread to centralize our thinking on this, share ideas, and indicate interest.
Re: date, we want to make sure we have enough time to plan and line up quality speakers and sponsors, and that we're not overlapping with another DrupalCamp or con appealing to the same region. I think May 12th or 19th would make a good day. Pitt is out and CMU is in finals for the 12th, the marathon is on the 6th.
Read moreTopics for discussion, possibly to consider during the December meetup
Hi all,
Just wanted to throw out several things. Maybe we can pick them up at Tuesday's meeting, or we can discuss here.
First, two modules I created for specific sites, but which I think might be useful to the community of some better programmers got their hands on them and abstracted them out for broader use-cases. Mark Frey and I met today, and we thought it might be interesting to have a code sprint (or something similar) to work on these and then give them back to the community.

Any suggestion on how to include a google calendar in drupal?
I would like to have the same calendar views, but get the events from google.
Thanks
