September Drupal User Group
With all the recent lightning and thunderstorms, it made me realize that we haven't had a lightning talk DUG in a while. So, this month Jesse will be kicking off the DUG with a short demo of the Custom Formatters module. Following that, we'll open things up to anyone who wants to give a 5 minute (or less) presentation.

DevMunch: Drush Site Aliases and Stage File Proxy
I'll go over the what, where, how, and why of Drush Site Aliases. Then +Darren Petersen will introduce Stage File Proxy, a Drupal module that enables you to make use of external server files on your local dev, without the need to download them. Finally, we'll go back to Drush Site Aliases and I'll point out how you can configure your $aliases array to automatically use Stage File Proxy after sql-sync.

September Way Out West Drupal User Group Meeting
The Way Out West Drupal meeting is geared toward Drupal beginners. Come with Drupal questions to discuss in a small group format. If no one comes with questions, we usually pick a video to watch from a past DrupalCon, and to pause and discuss it at various points as a group.

- An overview of Display Suite and why you shouldn't put logic in your TPL.
- Overview of the main features and how to use it with Panels, Field Groups, Save Draft, and Rel.
- A walk through of common real world theming challenges
- A detailed demonstration of how to solve each challenge using DS
If you are a themer looking to do more advanced developer-esque type things, Display Suite might be a good tool to add to your toolbelt.
