404 errors

Boa noite pessoal,

Estou com um problema estranho que não consigo resolver, não consigo aceder à homepage do meu site mas apenas em modo administrador? devolve-me o seguinte erro:

"Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /home/index.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

No entanto se digitar o endereço home/index.php a homepage abre!

Alguma ideia do que possa ser?

Tengo un problema que no se ni como solucionarlo, en mi trabajo la pagina web està como ftp, pro por el momento està en modo mantenimiento, el dìa de hoy quise ingresar y me marca un error Index of /cgi-bin/, le doy clic en cgi-bin y me aparece "Forbidden. You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/ on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

This is a continuation of the discussion here: http://groups.drupal.org/node/114124. The discussion stemmed from how much memory/cpu Drupal can take to provide a 404 error page (60MB+ if you have a decent module load).

While there have been several methods proposed for dealing with this, most are core hacks (though some have made it into Drupal 7). Most of the hacks deal with 404s for missing images/css/js files. They don't deal with other URLs that appear to be valid paths and not links to missing files.
