All skills?

Hey Matt - I went to the Drupal Camp Chicago 2008 last year, and I had a very limited knowledge of Drupal at the time. The good news is I've advanced. However, will there be a schedule of the DCC published soon with the general topics covered?

I'll likely go anyway because I'd like to find a like-minded entrepreneurial drupal developer, but it would be helpful if I knew the topics and whether or not I would be able to keep up. Thanks for all your work in setting it up.

Jordan

yes, all skills.

http://drupalcampchicago.org/schedule

Drupalcamp Chicago will feature a unique blend of both pre-planned session programming and BarCamp-style “unconference” content, including hands-on training and opportunities for individuals with common interests (a.k.a. “Birds of a Feather”) to meet for informal discussion without any pre-planned agenda.

The full schedule for Drupalcamp Chicago will be announced in late November, but the tentative outline is:
Saturday, December 12

* 8:30am – 9:00am: Registration
* 9:00am – 10:00am: 4 sessions + unconference
* 10:15am – 11:15am: 4 sessions + unconference
* 11:30am – 12:30pm: 4 sessions + unconference
* 12:30 – 2:00pm: Lunch
* 2:00pm – 3:00pm: 4 sessions + unconference
* 3:15pm – 4:00pm: 4 sessions + unconference
* 4:15pm – 5:00pm: 4 sessions + unconference

Sunday, December 13

* 9:30am – 3:00pm: Unconference

Refreshments will be available on Sunday morning.

Absolutely!

Hi Jordan -

We'll be basing the programming for this year's Drupalcamp in part on the experience level of the registered attendees, as well as speaker and topic diversity, and the ratings received for each session proposal until November 20. There will definitely be content available for people at all levels, both in the form of scheduled sessions and BoFs, hands-on training, etc. Hope to see you there!

Flash and Drupal

greenlayk's picture

Hey there,
I've been working with Travis Tidwell's (Packt) book Flash with Drupal to try and integrate my AS3 work with a Drupal site. Running into several gotchas, I'm hoping to meet someone at this year's Drupalcamp who has been there and done that with the amfphp and services modules. Looks like Brandon Morrison's Tips and Tricks to Incorporate Flash into Drupal session will be helpful. Know of any other drupal multimedia resources I could tap into prior to the session?

Thanks for making this event happen.

.Bruce.

having great success with flash and drupal

P.S. CDMUG is also having our 3rd Annual Holiday Open Source Social Event this Monday December 7th. RSVP seems a bit low but I will be there either way to talk Drupal and have a few beers.

Great Job Everyone!

I just wanted to pass on congratulations to all the sponsors, organizers, assistants, presenters and attendees. Great Job! It was a real pleasure to see all the Drupal enthusiasm!

We had 18 people from our Drupal meet-up attend ( Far West Chicago Suburbs http://www.meetup.com/The-Fox-Valley-Drupal-Meetup-Group/ ) and I've heard lots of very great comments. I'm sure everyone out here would be happy to assist in preparation for future events!

I had a great time at DCC, though I couldn't attend Sunday. Many thanks to the organizers, presenters, attendees and of course, our gracious sponsors.

Anyhow, Bob forgot to mention that the Fox Valley group is also now officially represented here as well http://groups.drupal.org/chicago-west-fox-valley-drupal-users-group
