Alright, I have been plugging away at various task. I didn't update last week, but have been making good progress. Much I spent a lot of time with design stuff, learning hooks, API, etc. But have finally started commiting code, after much fuss of learning CVS.

I have commited some code to the cvs repository under the 'xcasetracker' module. I will keep that code separate until this summer is done and then it will take over the current case tracker module code base. I have also created a project page on Drupal.org. The code I have commited contains UI enhancements to the project pages. There is also a "my cases" and a "my projects" block, a my cases page, and a my projects page. All the UI enhancements/changes on the project/cases pages are not completely what I want yet. I have also been working on learning some AJAX so adding cases can be done from the project page (considering you have access). There is also a visual display of where the project is at on the project display page.

I have been talking to Jeff Eaton quite a bit about design issues too. One issue I came across was either making my module a CCK receipe or keeping it more minimal. He actually talked about it in a lullabot podcast and wrote a blog post about it.

So I am going to continue working on UI enhancements and getting better workflow for projects working.
Here is a list of what I plan to add to the project:

* Clean up UI and Workflow
* Add Date Ranges to Cases
* AJAX based UI enhancements
* exposed view filters for table views of projects/cases
* adding a project status
* better support for case tracking via e-mail
* views calendar support (optional if views calendar module is installed).
* A dashboard that will give a run-down of projects
