This group will host informal once-a-month meet-ups for Western Slope drupal users to convene and discuss projects, modules, techniques, and to create connections among the local Drupal community.
Colorado Springs Happy Hour
Same drill as last month folks! :)
Let's go out, have a few beers (or beverage of your choice) and talk Drupal. No agenda, just a bunch of geeks hanging out.
Southside Johnny's seems to be working well so I'll be there at 6:30 and try to get a booth which I'm sure we can fill and hopefully overflow! Come whenever you want, stay as long as you want.

Hey all,
We were discussing Drupalcon in IRC and thought it would be a fun idea to get as many people as possible to wear a DrupalCamp Colorado t-shirts on the last day of Drupalcon Chicago (Thursday, the 10th). We'll be launching the DrupalCamp Colorado 2011 site this week, including opening up registration, so this would be a fun combination of showing our numbers at Drupalcon and bringing some awareness to the camp for next year.

Drupalcamp Colorado 2011 June 11th and 12th in Denver
Howdy folks!
Very exciting news here that Drupalcamp Colorado will be June 11th and 12th at Denver's King Center facility on the Auraria campus (next door to the building where it was in 2010).
After a 300+ turnout last year we hope to have 400 people this year and have a limit of about 500. Can we sell out again?
The official camp site is http://2011.drupalcampcolorado.org/
Announcements will also be posted here as we get close to ticket sales, session submission, session voting, and schedule announcement.
Yay Colorado!

Let's get together to celebrate the release of Drupal 7 (a little behind the times). We'll consume libations and Lullabot's D7 video at the toney downtown offices of Lucks Digital in Carbondale. The address is 1101 Village Rd. #LL4D, Carbondale 81623. If you're coming into Carbondale from Hwy 82, take a L turn on Village Rd. (I believe it's the first light) and then follow as it curves around. You will see Heritage Park retirement community on your L. After that, on your R, you'll see the parking area for Ned's offices. BYOB.

Hi Everyone! :D
Just wanted to drop you a note and let you know that I'm coming to Denver as part of the Drupal 7 tour I'm doing with Lullabot. We'll be at Kevin Taylor's at the Opera House on January 24th and 25th. It's a 2-day seminar aimed at getting Drupalers up to speed on Drupal 7. We'll be covering new features, configuration, theming, module development, API changes, and upgrading your sites to Drupal 7. Now that D7 is out, we want to make sure that you don't get left behind. By the end of this seminar, you'll be ready to start building sites with the latest and greatest version of Drupal.
If you're planning on going to DrupalCon in March, this seminar will help you get more out of the event by getting you up to speed with the version of Drupal that everyone will be talking about. If you won't be making it to Chicago, this is a great way for you to keep up with Drupal without needing to travel.
Registration is $395 for the 2 days and includes breakfast and lunch on both days. Register before Tuesday (the 11th) and we'll throw in a “Webchick Tour” t-shirt for free. We're doing a lot of work to make this a really great event with lots of really useful information and I hope you'll all be able to make it! :)

Update: This is happening, Drupalcon Denver will be March 19-23 2012 in Denver Colorado! http://denver2012.drupal.org
A few weeks ago the Drupalcon North America organizing committee did a survey to gauge community interest on where to hold Drupalcons for 2012. One of the items on the list was Denver, but we never really had much discussion of it here in these Colorado groups.
So, what do folks think?

We had an amazing time at the camp this year, but there were a lot of folks missing. Whether it was people from previous years who couldn't make it, or new members we want to hear your opinion!
We do a survey for the people who show up, but that just leads us to make the event more and more like they want it. What about the opinion of people who didn't make it? Please, fill in this survey so we know what we can do to make the camp appeal more to you for next year.
Thanks!

Hello Western Slopers,
Let's get together again and talk about Drupal!
5:30 to 7:30 pm.
I've got the Blue Tent meeting room reserved, so let's plan on meeting there.
Address: 218 E. Valley Road, Carbondale, CO (across the street from El Jebel, and right beside Movieland Cinema)
Let's iron out a specific agenda in the comments. Plus, something interesting always comes up at the time of the meetup. I'll follow up with some comments, suggesting some ideas, but mainly let's get together and geek out!

If you haven't yet registered for the event please do so soon as the price will increase to $50 on June 20th. That's still a great price for two days (including lunch) with your favorite software.

This is a wiki page to track the tasks to do and the people assigned to do them.
How this works:
1. If you see a todo item you want to help with, add your name after it and start working on it
2. If you see something missing, add it to the list
- Food - Steve H. is interested in putting together off-campus possibilities. Need someone to organize catering. (Miles or potentially Aten)
- Shirts - Kenheim and Kenwoodworth are running with this
- Party - Carl
- Swag - cmchadwick is providing some stuff, we could use some help asking book publishers for copies of books.
Meetup.com
Hi ... I've been attempting to contact different people from the Western Colorado user groups without success. We have a meetup.com group located at http://www.meetup.com/drupal-colorado/ that helps compliment the Boulder, Denver, and Colorado Springs Drupal meetups and Drupalcamp. I'd like to also list Western Slope meetups on this site and am looking for an organizer that could be setup as an organizer on meetup.com to publish information or provide the information to be published.

Drupal Meet-up: Top 5 API Functions You've Never Heard Of
Greetings Western Colorado drupalistas! It's time for another exciting drupal meet-up. My thought for this meet-up would be for all of us to bring 5 lesser-known API functions that we couldn't live without. I think, in general, we should limit ourselves to core API, but heavily used contrib modules like imagecache, views & cck functions are fairgame. In addition, I think we all suffered from the lack of refreshment at the February meet-up so we will be looking for a new location.

Western Slopers,
We'd agreed to meet on the third Thursday of each month. I would like to keep our momentum. In that spirit, I wanted to put out a call for topics of presentation. The event will be held at the Blue Tent Marketing Conference Room in El Jebel. Their offices are on the second floor of the building facing the entrance to MovieLand. Let me know who would like to present and the desired topic and I will put together the agenda.
Regards,
Seth

Hey team,
Let's get together next Thursday if possible. At this time, the location is still up in the air. Since Jared is leaving GJ, I've asked if Randy would be willing to come up here since it's a lot closer for the rest of us, but I'm still open to the GJ idea. Let me know if everyone thinks this will work with their schedules. If not, we can easily reschedule.
Regards,
Seth
