Demo Module and Profile?
An interesting new install profile (demo) got a very nice mention on one of the recent lullabot podcasts (towards the very end of the Drupal 7 podcast). I wonder if the profile maintainer would like to take 5 minutes to show it ;-). I personally have found it to be incredibly useful.
Demo Profile
Haha, you want to present it? ;-) ........ For those of you who don't know what he's talking about, http://drupal.org/project/demo and http://drupal.org/project/demo_profile .
usability
Maybe we can mention the usability stuff going on?
webchick is broadcasting the new site, http://www.d7ux.org/

Very cool!
That's pretty awesome! You want to talk about it a bit? I'd love to get more Drupal 7 stuff in the meetups.
usability yes!
I was very excited about the usability work going into D7, and all the attention paid to it during DrupalCon. Greatly improving / fixing usability, user experience, and theming will change everything for Drupal, in my opinion, and put it clearly out in front as an excellent CMS tool for everyone. There is a lot to report from DrupalCon.
count me in, looking forward
count me in, looking forward to some drinks and chat after at a bar too :)
Food
I was wondering if there is food at these meeting?
Food?
We haven't set up anything for food, but arn't closed off to any ideas you have. Think a chipin for a couple pizzas would be a good idea?
Pizza sounds good
That sounds good. Do you think there's enough time for a chipin to be created and people to contribute?
Rob, I'm on the way to the meeting, I will cover all food costs

Migrate and Table Wizard
Been working my arse off on the migrate module that mikeryan and moshe presented at DrupalCon. I could probably do 10 minutes on it and a quick demo from my dev server. Let me know if that makes sense, 11th hour i know.

Would love to see this
I'd love to see how the migrate module is working out. I've ended up doing a bunch of migrations using Batch API, and from what Moshe & Mikeryan presented it looks like the migrate module would be much simpler.
New To Drupal
I am new to Drupal and I heard a lot about the strong of this open source
I am thinking to migrate my system to drupal. It was programmed by Php.
Now, I am facing the stage of transfering the interface to use by drupal.
Is there anyone can give guidance?
the website that I am working on is at
http://www.breathecast.com
is a Christian music channel?
I also want to know what kind of plug-ins should i download in order to be able to do this stuff.
I appreciate for your help to give guidance for improving the site
Thank You
are you coming out tonight?
If you are coming out to the meetup this would be a good converstation starter because there will be lots of people that can give you different perspectives and solutions.
If not maybe we can start a post that is not limited to the NY community, and can get even more people's opinions / solutions.

Ffmpeg with FlashVideo
If anyone coming tonight has worked with ffmpeg and the FlashVideo module, especially on CirtexHosting, I would love to ask you a few questions about it. I've been working with it the past few days with little luck so far.
OpenPackage or Media Mover
Hi Ben,
I remember wanting to bring it up to you, but missed the chance. I've had lots of success with the OpenPackage Video module. It's an all-in-one video solution, with a Drupal 6 branch in the works.
I've also had huge success with Media Mover. The Media Mover module pretty much lets you collect files all over Drupal, and then do something with them. So, you can collect uploaded video files to nodes, transcode them using FFMPEG, and then display the FLV however you want.
Good luck! Thanks a lot for coming out to the meetup, and I look forward to seeing your progress with the video site next month ;-) .
Great, thanks!
Hi Rob,
These look very promising, thanks for sharing them with me! I am very much looking forward to solving the video questions and having a site to show you.
Arrgh !! It's tonight.
I just got back in the city and realized that the meet-up is tonight.
I've been before and registered my name for the front desk, but see "Signups closed for this Event" for tonight!! am I to late to gain access? Does registration from prior meetings get carried forward??
Oh well ... I haven't heard
Oh well ... I haven't heard that the old names carry forward so I guess I'll be staying out in the Boondocks of Brooklyn. :-(
I've seen the posts about the interface module and it looks interesting. Maybe someone will be videotaping tonight's meet-up

Presentation
Hey Frank,
Would you like to give an actual full presentation on the Migrate module with a working projector in the May meetup? We have the room booked already! I missed your little sit down Migration meeting, and think migration is definitely something that people would be interested in.
Thanks a lot for coming, and I'll talk with you soon,
Rob
Good meetup, good info, good people... fun times
Good meetup, good info, good people... fun times. Alonza, thanks for the food and great conversation. Rob and Oleg you guys do a great job as it does require some work to organize meetups (even though a certain attendee would beg to differ).
