Central NJ meet-up - September 15th, 2009 at 7pm
The main topic for this meet-up will be Views. Using, themeing, etc. Sorry for the delay. I hope people can still fit this in their calendars.
Please sign up so we have a rough estimate of how many people will attend. Also, if you have particular questions/problems regarding Views, please post them. That way we'll have a better idea of what everyone needs help with.
Again, held at the Institute for Advanced Study.
Address:
Bloomberg Hall
1 Einstein Drive
Princeton, NJ 08540
(we are marked on Google maps)
IAS is a short distance from Mercer Street. See here - http://www.ias.edu/about/directions - for directions and a campus map. For those who are familiar with Princeton University, we are basically on the other side of the golf course. It is a little over a mile from the train station, so walkable. For those coming by car, park in Lot A. There should be plenty of parking in the evening.

@David - A little bit of a formal presentation (or a few slides at least) might be helpful to introduce the topic.

Meet Up
My 1st Drupal Meet Up! Even though I arrived late, I really enjoyed the presentation and the discussions. Looking forward to the next one.

My 1st Meetup too! I really appreciated the information presented and I learned quite a bit! It was a bummer I had to leave at 9 and I wish I could have stayed for the rest.
I am also looking forward to the next Meetup!
Was nice meeting you everyone! Thanks Dave for organizing this!
Peter, thanks or the links.
Peter, thanks or the links. Everyone, topics for the next meeting?

Let's pick a date - like the 6th, 8th, or 13th of Oct?
I've contacted the Princeton Unix Group to see if they want to co-sponsor a meetup sometime soon so we can get a room on the Princeton Campus.
previous topic suggestions are at: http://groups.drupal.org/node/20931
One option might be a "site recipe/showcase" kind of session - where someone with a Drupal site goes over what modules are being used and how they interact to provide the final functionality
Another option people seems to have wanted is a session covering the use of revision control software like CVS and subversion - we might include with that an intro to a cross-platform IDE like Netbeans that includes some RCS integration.
If you guys end up at a tie
If you guys end up at a tie for a date, a non-tuesday would be better for me (the 8th, a Thursday) since I have teleconferences every Tuesday at 9pm and I would really love to stay for the whole meetup the next time I attend.
As far as topics go, I am game for anything. I am at the beginning stages of SVN and love it so far but I sure could use some more education in that area! I also dig the site recipe theme!
SVN or Recipes
I'd love to know more about SVN. Site recipes would be excellent too.
Tuesdays are bad for me, so +1 to the 13th.

October 13th is a Tuesday.
October 13th is a Tuesday. Did you mean the 8th?
I sure did
thanks, nice catch. 10/8!
