I would be greatly interested in meeting up with any other Drupal developers in the MD area. I am pretty new to Drupal, know very little (none) PHP, and would really like to get more familiar with the platform. That being said, are there any plans to have any kind of meet up in this area in the near future?

MD Drupal meetups
I'd love to get together and meet some MD Drupalers. I'm fairly new to Drupal as well, and think it would be great to get some kind of regular meet-up in this area. I've been to a couple of the D.C. meet-ups, but it's a little out of the way to attend regularly. I'm in Howard county. Where is everyone else at?
MD Drupalers
I'm between Howard & Baltimore counties. A NOVA group is too far for me.
How about Columbia?
We have a Wordpress user's group that meets up at the Second Chance Saloon in Columbia. It's been a good venue- not too loud, wifi, beer. Anyone interested in having a meetup there?
I'm in Annapolis and work in
I'm in Annapolis and work in Arlington so anything between those two places gets my vote!
You might want to go to the D.C. and NOVA meetups
They are both very active groups, and meet regularly:

Hi spinsheet, I'd like to get
Hi spinsheet, I'd like to get another Maryland meetup going on a regular basis. Would you prefer events during the week or on weekends? Let's see if we can get a regular meetup going again.

Also interested in attending area Drupal Group ...
I'm also interested in attending a Baltimore/Columbia area Drupal Group. What is the ideal setting? I'm sure this has been published.
I have a new Drupal site up and running (live for 2 weeks). It's a start but I'm looking to improve it: http://www.memorialepiscopal.org
From Columbia
Hi I would love to be apart of a Drupal group in the Bmore/Columbia area.
That's four people!
Where does everyone want to meet? I vote Columbia, but will do Baltimore if more people want to meet there.
I'm up for columbia but can
I'm up for columbia but can do baltimore. I will do a couple how-to in drupal sessions as well as a walkthrough to integrate a Drupal site with facebook if anyone is interested.

I'm up for columbia and could possibly host
Count me in. We use drupal for our website and a couple of other applications. Might be able to host a meetup at our office off of 95 at 175.
Awesome
Let's do it...when is a good time during the week ? I have about 3 drupal sites running right now...
I'm available anytime after
I'm available anytime after 6PM during the week and all of Saturday so I'm pretty flexible. If anyone has some specific information they would like to speak about, or a "how would I make X site in Drupal"; I would not mind taking some time to discuss this.

Let's do this
This is probably the part where we throw out an arbitrary date and location, and work from there. How about Thursday October 22nd at 7:00pm somewhere in Columbia? I'm pretty flexible, so whoever isn't go ahead and make another suggestion.
Oct 22
That sounds good to me. Maybe we can pick a location that's just off of 95 by either 175 or 32. Esdott, is your office still a possibility?
I'm interested as well
I'm looking for another developer who can help with optimizing a site. Hopefully, I can meet up with others for help either to do it myself or for a short term contract.
I'm based in Baltimore but live near Columbia so either works for me. October 22 sounds fine to me as well.
The 21st ?
Hi guys I have a Divorce support group on Thursdays. Any way we can move it to the 21st or 20th
We're good from here
We have a decent sized room with a projector, screen, and wifi . We can hold about 20-30 people. Should be enough for our needs. Our office is literally right off of 95 at 175 on Columbia Gateway Drive.
Tuesday or Thursday the 20th and 22nd respectively work best. We should probably start around 7 or 7:30. Once we can confirm the details I will create an event for it.

Tuesday's great
Tuesday would be awesome..
Tuesday's good
I can do Tuesday.
i'd love to join but....
I take a class at UMBC on Tuesday nights. Don't change the day or anything on my account -- but I won't be able to attend until the end of the semester/early 2010 (so long as I don't have a Tuesday night class next semester).
Anyhoo, this sounds like a great plan.
Friday?
Anyone have a Friday conflict?
Friday it is?
Just confirming. Any objections to Friday at 7pm?
Alright the event is setup
When I setup the event, there was an area to add in "organizers." To make the even display cleaner, I did not put anything in it but if you would like to be considered an organizer, let me know and I will put your name in.
I am looking forward to meeting with you all.
Before we kill off this thread....
We have a group that is meeting Oct 15th 7:00pm at the Second Chance Saloon in Columbia. We call it a Wordpress user's group, but it's mainly just a bunch of web workers from the area that hang out, have a beer, and talk once a month. Pretty informal. It would be cool to get some more Drupal people from the area to come hang out. Everyone's welcome! http://wpug.hypermodernconsulting.com/
Meet-up on Oct 23, 7pm, Columbia...
So, we're going to meet Friday, Oct 23, 7pm at 6940 Columbia Gateway Drive, Suite 220? That works for me but....
I think Fridays will generally be difficult for most people because, well, they're Fridays! :D
I should be able to make it at least to this first meet up. Yet, if the group wants to grow Fridays might be prove difficult as a regular meeting day. Anyway, I think you guys should go back to Tuesdays -- I think a mid-week time is better than an end of the week/weekend time.
Just my two cents.
I totally agree multisportchi...
But at least we will get something started and get some vested interest. Once together, maybe we can decide on a much much better day. :)

http://groups.drupal.org/node/28718 is the actual event where you should sign up if you will be attending.
