Montreal December Drupal Meetup

Per mvc, we're scheduling the next meetup during the week, and the topic will be Lightning Talks, so plan to talk for 5 minutes or so on a Drupal topic of choice, or to show off a site you recently built, or whatever!

When: Friday, December 14, 2007 from 2PM - 8PM (that way some of us who work during the day can make it later)
Where:
LAST MINUTE VENUE CHANGE! Bande-Passante (Koumbit's office) near metro Crémazie (30 seconds walk)? 8655 Saint-Denis
L'Utopik, 552, rue Sainte-Catherine Est (Map)
(Unless Internet isn't working (again ;)), in which case we'll be at Cafe Vienne, just down the street at the corner of St-Hubert and Sainte Catherine.)

Thanks once again, Angie, for your organizing prowess. I'll mark this in my calendar now! And it sounds like you had a good meeting yesterday, sorry I couldn't be there.

I have no idea now what I'll present, but that should be enough time to find five minute's worth of material!

I'll be out of town for the meeting (actually I'll be on another continent for about 10 weeks), but maybe I could join in on IRC or Skype and even do a short presentation via that.

I am stupidly, stupidly behind w/ work, and am going away next week on top of it for 2 weeks so I don't think there's any conceivable way I could make it to this. :( I'll try again next month. :(

Anyone want to confirm they're coming?

Thanks to webchicks foresight, we have a backup venue. Last I heard, l'Utopik was sold, closed and barricaded. I'd still be up for a meetup, not sure when I can make it today though. Maybe too last minute, but how about you guys come to Bande-Passante (Koumbit's office) near metro Crémazie (30 seconds walk)? 8655 Saint-Denis, or give us a call : 514 383-9106.

Whenever I called l'Utopik, there was no reply.

Sure, that would be fine, and would make more sense if it's (mostly) just myself and Koumbit folks. (Plus your office is closer to my house.)

The meeting ended up being just myself, anarcat, milette, and DynV hanging out at Bande-Passante and chatting drupal and free software. We hadn't met before, and it was nice to see the Koumbit office, although maybe next time we can try to do the 5 minute demo thing.
