The Center for Research Libraries (CRL) is seeking a creative Web and Digital Library Specialist. Under the direction of the Director of Information Systems, the candidate selected will work independently to design, develop and implement grant and non-grant funded web projects.
Essential Duties:

* Conduct development and system administration on the Drupal content management system: evaluate and implement modules, implement and monitor work flows, develop site wide theming, templates, content types, etc.

• 3-5+ years experience in the LAMP stack. Emphasis on PHP and the Drupal CMS.
• Ability to use/develop stock and custom CMS modules desired.
• Experience working big projects, and or on new website launches is a major plus.

We are a small web development company based in Chicago that specializes in advanced web development using Drupal.

We are looking for a freelance Drupal developer with plenty of experience with the Drupal platform, and a high level of comfort with most of the following:

• Advanced xHTML and CSS skills (valid and semantic code that works on all browsers)
• Drupal's top 100 modules, including advanced use of Views and CCK
• Drupal theme development
• Drupal module development

In a nutshell, we are looking to redesign our current static website on a Drupal platform on a very short time frame. We have Photoshop or Illustrator files from a graphic designer and need a developer/themer to set up a Drupal site, theme it according to the design and integrate the necessary functionality (like some webforms).

This team will be responsible for building and designing an open source intranet, based off of a LAMP stack, surrounding all of the company's internal communication. Candidate will be responsible for designing the intranet to include all relevant company information into the site. The intranet caters to all 85,000 company employees worldwide and therefore brings a lot of visibility to this team.

We had a wonderful turnout of close to 20 librarians from all parts of the Chicagoland area. Knowledge and skill-level ran from seasoned veterans to people being introduced to Drupal for the first time.

Vocalo.org, is a website, a radio station, and non-profit media company is seeking a Drupal developer to work on contract. Depending on skill set developer will do bug fixes, small features, and user interface work. Developer must be able to work on a deadline and communicate with non-tech staff.
