DrupalCon Los Angeles Ohio Check-in and Dinner Planning
It's that time of year again, DrupalCon!
In the tradition of DrupalCons past, we Ohioans (and former Ohioans) have gathered for an DrupalCon Ohio Dinner or as I refer to it the OHNO or Ohio Night Out! Our usual fare it seems has been Chinese (Portland, San Francisco), but we have dug in for some delicious deep dish pizza (Chicago).

Drupal Camp Ohio 2014
The Central Ohio Drupal User Group (CODUG) is proud to announce Ohio's 4th annual DrupalCamp:
Friday, Nov. 14th and Saturday, Nov. 15th, 2014.
DrupalCamp Ohio 2014 returns to The Ohio State University's Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center and will include keynote speeches, topical sessions, Birds of a Feather breakouts, and code sprints. Learn more about Drupal Camp Ohio.
We are only in the beginning stages of planning so bear with us as we still have the 2013 site up. Registration will open in September.

Help with D7 upgrade?
I am a programmer from way back before the internet was big. I dipped my feet back into the water a couple of years ago, creating a D6 website for a local non-profit. The site uses a lot of modules, but no custom code (though it could certainly use it!). I'm trying to upgrade to D7 before writing my own modules, and am getting very frustrated with the process.
I've posted a specific question about admin_menu on drupal.org here: https://drupal.org/node/2117203 with no responses. I was hoping to connect with the local community to see if anyone can help me through the process.

Cleveland Drupal User Meetup (Performance with Varnish & Pound)
This month Dennis Jarecke will be presenting on Varnish and Pound. Varnish is a caching mechanism that Drupal can hook into and take some of the stress off your site.
We'll also use some of our time for site demos. If you'd like to share your latest Drupal creation please let us know in the comments, so we can estimate how much time each presentation can last.
DrupalCamp Ohio is coming up soon. This would be a great chance to coordinate lodging/car pooling as well.

Local Drupal developer needed
All,
I have a client who has been running a community-type D6 website for a few years now. I started a few months ago to rebuild their site in D7, but am now realizing (a few months too late) that I don't have the time. I'd like to turn the project over to a developer local to Columbus that can work with this company to complete the site and provide hosting and maintenance going forward.
The client wants to remain anonymous at this point, but the website contains the following modules:

- views
- field permissions
- location
- private message
- salesforce
