Getting data into Drupal using the Migrate module
Brent Dunn & Scott Deeter will talk through various aspects of the Migrate module. Among the topics they will discuss and demonstrate will be migrating images, migrating from files, migrating from Wordpress, and the differences between static and dynamic migrations.
If you are curious or concerned about how to use the Migrate module, this would be a great opportunity to learn more.
Bring $5 for pizza at 6:30, presentations start at 7.

Meetup Notes - August 7th, 2013
- This was a great meetup! Way to kick off the Fall CharDUG season!
- 11 folks attended with two first-timers and two second-timers. We love new people!
- Shrop and Thomas Lattimore led a conversation to discuss cancelling Drupal Co-Working days due to lack on attendance. After some discussion, the group decided to cancel the August event and reboot Drupal C-Working as TechCLT Co-Working in September. We will try this through fall and evaluate if we will continue at our December or January meetup.

Drupal is a powerful open source web technology that allows users to create dynamic, flexible websites capable of filling all manner of needs. It’s like Legos for the web. Join us for our day-long introductory Drupal workshop, where we will start from nothing and walk through the steps of building a small business website. This class is geared toward entry-level students with little-to-no experience with Drupal or any other Content Management System (CMS). Bring your curiosity and your computer, and be ready to learn what you can build with Drupal.

We managed another high-quality meet-up in spite of our brazen lack of a decent agenda going in. Fortunately, the one agenda item we did have on the books was discussing the need to plan our future meet-ups further in advance. The general consensus was that it is difficult to get new people interested when there doesn't appear to be any activity on our groups.drupal.org page nor on our Meetup page.

August 1st was our first meeting since DrupalCamp Charlotte and considering our last meeting the Wednesday before the camp was entirely dedicated to preparation for the camp, we had a lot of pent-up stuff to talk about! Bryan Stalcup got the night started with a DrupalCamp Charlotte 2012 wrap-up. The CharDUG members shared their notes on things we thought worked and things we thought needed changing. Overall, we felt the camp was a success, and judging by the feedback we got, so did most of our attendees.
