Welcome
COD is a "Conference Organizing Distribution" meant to make it easy to build a site for manage events with features like session submission, registration, user profiles, forums, and logistical information.
You should use COD if you are building a site for a conference like a Drupalcamp or Barcamp, for an organization that offers trainings, for a Drupalcon perhaps, for a music venue that wants to sell tickets online without using ticketmaster, etc.

This is a BoF/Sprint at PNWDS, we will be working on Drupal7 COD, helping people setup dev environments, going over some of the largest issues in the queue, and answering general questions people might have about COD.
I'll be around most of the weekend, so if there are COD related questions outside of the bof, come ask them in #drupal-cod

Myself and Dyannenova will be at PNWDS, and wondering if anyone would be interested in meeting up for some COD sprinting goodness?
Particular things I'd love to iron out:

--Sponsors
--Registration Entity IA
If you're interested, post a reply. See you at PNWDS!
Tentatively scheduled for 1:30PM on Saturday!

Hey all,
I'm taking a look at COD and have a minimal viable list of items I need for Sponsors. That module component hasn't moved forward but I would like to put in some time to getting a 7.x version ready. I'm didn't see anything about sponsors in the road map but I'd like to get some of this work kicked off today. My approach would be to rebuild the sponsor content type, using D7 fields where applicable.
// Exported field: field_logo As Image
$fields['sponsor-field_logo'] = array(
// Exported field: field_related_attendees as Entity Reference - User

I'd like to help integrate the Event Rideshare module with COD. Any interest?
http://drupal.org/sandbox/stephen_Verdant/1161014
For the rideshare module we simply need users, to get a better idea how what a real user might want or might want to change ... I don't have an upcoming conference website to play with. If you're setting up a conference website I'd be happy to help you get the carpools working for you site, just ask!
The D6 version basically works without meeting things like coding standards; I'd like to work on polishing the D7 version and get it approved.

Hello again,
Just learning COD and I can't seem to find a way to either add a new track or edit an existing track's name. The default ones just says tracks 1 to 3.
Where is the documentation for this?
Thanks

If and when features are ported and new module dependencies are introduced, please update these instructions accordingly.
Note that small changes to ctools and features might cause exported comments and data arrays to differ even if you have not changed these. Please keep them included in your patch if you are using a stable version of these modules.
Basic things you need for getting started with COD-7.x on your localhost machine:
1. Install core Drupal-7.x
$ cd <webroot>
$ git clone --branch 7.x http://git.drupal.org/project/drupal.git cod7
