Welcome
COD is a "Conference Organizing Distribution" meant to make it easy to build a site for manage events with features like session submission, registration, user profiles, forums, and logistical information.
You should use COD if you are building a site for a conference like a Drupalcamp or Barcamp, for an organization that offers trainings, for a Drupalcon perhaps, for a music venue that wants to sell tickets online without using ticketmaster, etc.

Any updates?
Sorry to be that guy, I'm just curious where things are. The last news update was in March, the last post on the Twitter account was in March, and most of the issues from the Denver sprint haven't been updated since then.
Are there new sprints being planned, virtually or in person? Any updated roadmap?
I totally get the "it's done when it's done" timeline (and I'm fine with that), but I'm curious what the level of activity is, and if there are ways I can help.

Hi all,
@cafuego and I have been working on conference websites for a while. Stabilising our own home grown conference management system on top of an established open source CMS was one of the factors that lead us to choose Drupal.
We have some modules on github (yes, we plan to move them to drupal.org) which we use to run conferences. We called our module suite, Converge.

Our clients needed double blind peer review to assess call for paper submissions, and a granular session selection system.

Hi all,
I am currently setting up a simple COD page (cod-6.x-1.0-beta2). I want to re-user an old customized theme which I used for a former COD install (cod-6.x-1.0-alpha3). Now I have to create some customized views (very simple views: e.g just to show pics of registerd users) and I find myself in difficulties which I am not able to solve by myselfe. I am not able to create any view. I tried several different things and I digged for several hours into the web / COD forum for some suggestions to get it fixed. Without success!
I now hope to find some suggestions/hint with you here!
Read moreAdd speakers job title and organization to sessions view in COD
Hi,
I need to add speakers job title and organization to the session schedule view in COD and can't seem to find the correct values to add to [field_speakers_uid] to produce this. [field_speakers_uid] only displays the speaker name. I've played around with the view but haven't managed to come up with anything other than going round and round in circles.
I need to display Speaker Name, Job Title, Organization.
The current session schedule is available here http://shanghai.itic.co/agenda/session-schedule to give an idea.
Thanks for your help,
Read moreWhen should session submission close? (or any other call for submissions)
Drupalcon Munich has a great graph that shows the dates when people submit sessions. Unfortunately (for event organizaers) a lot of it happens at the last minute.

This is a problem for session track chairs because they don't know if they'll have enough good sessions.
Read moreSchedule view not showing all rooms
The Views panel that shows my session schedule shows all my sessions across 6 rooms and is not showing the 7th room. I tried looking at the views setup (using the default that comes with cod distribution) and I am not seeing any reason why the additional room would drop off the schedule.
Any thoughts?

I've been doing some testing of COD 6.x-1.x Beta 2 and it seems like it's nearly ready for release, but there are some theme bugs that would be great to fix before a COD 1.0 release.
If any themers out there care to tackle these, I'd definitely credit them in the release notes and reward them with some COD stickers and my eternal gratitude :D.
Read moreStyling the COD session schedule
I'm using (COD) Conference Organizing Distribution to build an ongoing project for a conference.
I'm happy styling the elements of the session schedule but need more control over the layout of the table (generated by views) it's held in. For example I'd like coffee breaks and lunch breaks to have one single row even if their are multiple rooms. Can anyone point me in the right direction to where I make these changes? Is there a template hidden away somewhere? I'm feeling that it's going to be a views tpl file but just need that confirmation.
Read moreLooking for instructions for installing COD on an existing Drupal site
I've followed links in COD documentation for installing COD on an existing site, but haven't found any instructions. I installed COD on a sandbox site and found the modules it uses at /public_html/profiles/cod/modules/contrib. I'm already using a lot of the modules. I plan to copy the COD modules I'm not already using to my existing site /public_html/sites/all/modules. Do you have any suggestion or warnings or links to instructions? I rank my skills at a novice level.
