We are planning to hold some rotating meetings this upcoming year. We would like to continue a rotation between communities every few months or so. If you would like to host a meeting in your community, go for it!

We are a collection of Drupal enthusiasts from Eastern Iowa. of all skill levels that meet on a regular basis to learn, share the things we've figured out, and spread the good word about Drupal. If that description matches you, we encourage you to join. Our meeting list can be found below.

Need Help for DrupalHawks
Hello Everyone,
It has been a busy holiday season and the new year is bringing some great things.
A large change is the fact that my wife is going back to school and I am getting back into martial arts classes. This takes up my Monday through Thursday nights.
Here are some options, but I'm sure there are others:
- If you would like to have the Drupal meetings during the week, then I (We) need volunteers and alternate locations to host the meetings.
- Start having them Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, so please voice your opinion either way on this.
Need some Javascript Knowledge
Greetings all.
I have what I believe to be a javascript issue, but since I know very little about javascript I can't be sure. Help!
A client (non-profit) of mine purchased a very inexpensive calendar widget recently and asked me to add it to their website. I copied the code into a block and placed the block where desired on their home page...it worked very nicely. Only problem is it "broke" all the other javascript on that page, so things like Views Slideshow animations stopped working.
Can anybody tell me, in 100 words or less, if I can fix this and how I might do so?

24Oct2011 DrupalCorn Meeting - Where is Aegir now?
We are moving the October meeting to the 24th so it does not conflict with Halloween. We are likely to move the November and December meetings as well so stay tuned.
NOVEMBER - Drupal Iowa City Meeting
Setting the date for an Iowa City meeting. Everyone is welcome.
This meeting I'd like to talk about "User Training 101". Once the site hand-off occurs, many users just don't know where to start.
- What resources are available to train users in the Drupal interface?
- What methods have people found to be best to train users (one-on-one, videos, document)?

Cedar Falls September Meeting
The meeting will be held in the Innovative Teaching and Technology Center (ITTC) on the University of Northern Iowa Campus. There will be guest wireless available.
If it's of interested to the group, I can present on our Drupal feature server and how we're using it for deploying custom modules, features and themes to campus.

Defeating SPAM and Address Harvesting
I'm currently using the SpamSpan module to obfuscate all e-mail addresses which appear on one of my web sites. The site owner is concerned about an up-tick in the amount of SPAM they receive so I'm looking for suggestions to better protect these addresses.
