I've explored with some people the idea of creating a "Video bridge" with open source buildign blocks http://www.dorfwiki.org/wiki.cgi?VideoBridge
Probably the best working example of what I would like to do is at http://flashmeeting.open.ac.uk/
I am right now assessing how to incorporate this into Drupal. Some open questions:
Whether to use Adobe Flash Server, or extend some other open libraries?
Is anyone else already working on this?
What would you like to see?

Red 5
PS. http://osflash.org/red5 is the candidate for open source flash media server.
Your suggestions greatfully appreciated...

Red5?
I assume you're intimately familiar with Red5, so I'm curious why you'd consider Adobe Flash Media Server. It would seem to be a better choice for our efforts to be invested in extending and improving Red5's capabilities.
Keep us posted on what you discover.

Whatever your first issue of concern, media had better be your second, because without change in the media, the chances of progress in your primary area are far less likely. http://denveropenmedia.org

Agreed
Mostly brought up AFMS to see if anyone was working on anything remotely related to, or resembling what I describe above. So far, only "flashmeeting" seems to be doing this, and they are of course using AFMS.
Never the less, I completely agree Red5 is a better choice. I would like to concentrate solely on Red5 and integrating it as a "video bridge" with Drupal. I have no desire to spend time or energy on AFMS :)

I use flashmeeting and love it
I use flashmeeting and love it... but it is not integrated into drupal. I know that they have worked to integrate it into moodle, somehow.

Good luck!
