Are you interested in data visualisation; intrigued at how data is transformed into visualisations; or just really like beautiful images that tell stories better than any spreadsheet?
IRISS, the Institute for Research and Innovation in Social Services, invites you to an informal get-together to talk about all things data visualisation. It is our intention to create a forum in which people can share their enthusiasm for the subject, examples of visualisations, creatives processes etc.

Hey there, I just noticed
Hey there, I just noticed this and it caught my eye - unfortunately I can't make it but it looks really interesting. I do most of the reporting/MI for www.myjobscotland.gov.uk and have been working on a lot of data viz recently. I work for CoSLA and we handle the recruitment for all 32 LGAs (including social work positions) in Scotland so think there could really be a cross over of interests here.
Would be cool to hear how this goes and see any examples.
