Hi everyone,
We never had Drupal meetup in Ahmedabad. I have been meeting few Drupal Developers, around 5 of us felt that we should have Drupal meetup.
We are planning one around December end wherein Drupal Developers in Ahmedabad or Gujarat can come and share anything about Drupal. We are debating on the agenda for the meetup.
Agenda for the meetup can be
1. Discussion on Drupal 7 and
2. Discuss some challenging Drupal work done in recent past
3. Networking
Please post your consent if you are in/around Ahmedabad or spread the word among your friends staying around Ahmedabad/Gujarat.

First Drupal Camp of India was in Ahmedabad at DA-IICT. Problem we have here is there is no space that anyone can sponsor for such events. We need projector, mic, etc.
Ahmedabad has probably the highest number of Drupal shops in India today so this is very much needed.
Please suggest a venue/ time.

I have been talking to the management @ CIGNEX. They are very co-operative and have pledged support for this meetup for now as well as for future. @bpocanada .... Good to hear about Drupal Camp. We can hold up Drupal meetups at coffee shops, Gardens also. But for sure support of corporates needed to carry out this in effective manner. Hope to see you at meetup.

I think, its time to organize a nation wide camp like Drupalcon. There was one organized by bpocanada and I believe they want to imporve on lot of things.
But before that, we need to improve on infrastructer and convince participants from all over India. Then we can organize an international camp.
We can convience some universities like MS, GU to provide the basic infrastructre for 2-4 days of event.
Its good to start with meetup.

Yes. There should be some national level conference where all drupalers can meet. We need to join hands in order to make such an event a success. Behalf of Andhra Pradesh, i can say that we are ready to support any of such initiatives.
For any such events University campuses are best, where we get Space, Wifi, Auditorium, etc. We can ask Drupal vendors to sponsor the event and they can also meet with other business partners and have a biz talk at the conf. These would be the primary aims of a successful conf.
