Would anybody find this module userfull?
http://drupal.org/node/969660 It's written based on ip2locale module, and simply maps ip to country and then to currency code (usualy stored in a $_SESSION variable. Let me know if there would be interested in a module like this, and if it's worth pushing it to drupal.org/projects
