Hello folks,
I am looking for a Video Solution for my Drupal site, which will be a collaborative community site to create and manage projects and creative posts from site users.
I need a module which does the following:
-> Integrate one site account with Blip.tv
-> Allow users to upload directly through my web page to the site account with Blip.tv
-> Automatically embed the video from where uploaded into the post, using CCK field into the content types Or in Wysiwyg editor

I looked into the following modules but couldn't find a simple upload and embed solution for my end users:
-> Embedded Media Module (Provides embed code options for users with a CCK filed in your content type. Provides embed code filter for various video/audio/image sharing sites including Blip.tv , Dialy Motion , and many others.)
-> Media Mover (video upload, encoding, and local or Amazon S3 storage/bandwidth options. Amazon S3 provide low cost external per GB storage rate and per GB bandwidth rates. Check pricing here, http://aws.amazon.com/s3/pricing/ . This module has Blip.tv integration but only for D5)
-> FlashVideo (video upload, encoding, and local or Amazon S3 storage/bandwidth options)
-> Video (video upload, encoding, and local or Amazon S3 storage/bandwidth options)
-> Video Upload (provides simple upload and embed features to users to Youtube)
-> CDN2 Video (video upload and embed for users, and provides external encoding and storage/bandwidth options with their servers at WorkHabit.com. Offers Transcoding at $2.50/GB for all regular videos $4.00/GB for all hd videos; and Delivery at $0.50/GB for all data transferred.)
-> Vimeo (provides simple upload and embed features to users to Vimeo. Free account with 500MB per week limit.)
-> Media (provides all media related features for audio/video/image/document files, but only for D7. Has integration for external hosting provider plug-in but i guess with with embed code option)
-> Blue Droplet Video (upload and embed option for external hosting yet to be posted for D6)
-> Cincopa.com Multimedia Galleries (provides upload and embed features to users to Cincopa.com Has both free and paid services with limited storage space.)
-> Viddler (provides upload and embed features to users to Viddler.com at $100 for initial 50 GB)
-> Kaltura (external Fully Hosted platform. Service offers start at $299 per month)

I need a module which can provide simple upload option to my website users, then sends the video to service providers such as Blip.tv or DialyMotion, and automatically embeds into the dersired location in the node. Later I will also need a module to do the similar functionality for Audio / Presentation files on sites such as Odeo and Slideshare. Maybe one of the modules above with integration features to Amazon S3 (Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), Hosting and Streaming Service Provider) can be utilised for this purpose.
Some posted me (my post http://drupal.org/node/994828) a link to http://blog.akb.com.au/files/video_bliptv.zip and http://drupal.org/node/89066 for Blip.tv video upload and embed solution.

Can anyone help me out here? Thank You.

Joyy

@Joyy, try the video module with Zencoder, its so fast and cheap solution for transcode videos, or if you want to use blip.tv then you can use video module transcoding API and extend it to what you want just same like Zencoder does.

Hope this helps.

Hi Heshan,
Thank you for your reply.
There was a patch made for Video module to work with blip.tv, but for ver 4.7 (http://drupal.org/node/994828)
I have put it in the issue queue of Video module to port it to D6 ver. Please look into it.
Btw, I found Video Upload module to do this feature but for Youtube only i.e. with one site account it allows users to upload and embed.
Also I found DailyMotion provides an Uploader tool, which does the same but the site users have to register individually to upload and embed, all without leaving the site.

Regard,
Joyy

Media: YouTube and Media: Brightcove both allow video uploads (in conjunction with emfield & media mover). There's a framework in place for Media: BlipTV as well, but that still needs to be implemented (patches welcome!).

Thanks a million!!! Aaron.
Could you advise how to set this up.
The Media Mover module has a configuration setup (group of actions that are chained together) comprised of harvest, process, storage, complete.
So the Embeded Video Field with Media: YouTube will harvest file from node data (upload file setting in Media: YouTube?), then move the file to YouTube Service using?? (Media Mover action in the configuration to post it to YouTube using Media: YouTube ?), and then attach file's embedded path back to node's Embeded Video Field...
Could you guide me step-by-step..

Regards,
Joyy
