Are you setting up a D7 website right now? We could use a few people to give a short demo about D7.

Sign up here, or at the release party website. See you Friday!

Today is the day!

Fellow Drupalistas,

Today is the day we've all been waiting for. We are meeting at 6 at the Blue Nile, hope to see you there.

All around the globe people are celebrating the launch of Drupal 7. Here are some last-minute reminders of how to rock our party!
* Post an invite on your Facebook page
* Tweat with #d7rp and #d7rp_tc
* Stand up a Drupal 7 site today and bring a demo
* Host an installfest - Install Drupal 7 locally http://drupal.org/project/drupal, Drupal stack installer, Acquia.com/downloads or get a hosted version: http://drupalgardens.com
* Just blue yourself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BznwsT6r_tM&feature=player_embedded
* Stream Video into the Ustream channel - start titles with D7RP while posting videos and tag them with #d7rp
* Bring a camera for video and photos - Make #d7rp a trending topic and upload your pics to Flickr!
* Use Twitter (A LOT), and make sure all tweets have the tag #d7rp. With all these parties worldwide, it would be awesome if we could get Drupal and #d7rp trending topics on Twitter.

Some stats about D7RP
We now have 310 parties in 97 countries. The biggest parties are Boston DUG (142), SF Bay Area (130), Utrecht (110), New York (95), Ahmedabad (90), Delhi (79), Paris (69) and Mumbai (68). In total, there are over 2000 signups worldwide for parties that use the signup module on the d7rp website. Let's see how many people we get tonight.

See you there!

Blue Nile = social event, no laptops?

DamienMcKenna's picture

So, given it's at the Blue Nile does that mean it's going to be strictly a social event and laptops are really not a good idea?

We'll be inside, though, right? ;-)

While frivolity, libations,

Barry Madore's picture

While frivolity, libations, cake! and celebration will likely be the order of the evening, D7 is the featured guest of honor so laptops are not banned. It will be nice to have some sort of exploration of D7 and for that we'd need a laptop or two. There's WIFI at Blue Nile so bring it along, especially if you have an installation or some other D7 nugget to show off. Oh, and yeah, we'll be inside not on the patio even though we have many intrepid outdoor souls amongst us.

Our event was attended by 23 drupalistas! We had a cake, cookies and treats, and we gave away a bottle of Awesome Sauce - the official beer of DrupalCon Copenhagen.

Thanks to everyone who lurked and attended! No demos tonight, but a lot of good conversation and camaraderie.
