I'm wondering how people in this group are using Drupal, more specifically I'm wondering what the market is like there now for freelance developers. I lived in Tokyo for 5 years so I know my way around and know the language a little. I have plenty of work in the US but would love to come back to Tokyo, even if only for a working vacation. Just curious how/if people are getting by doing the freelance thing in Japan.
All comments welcomed.
Thanks,
Bill

I'll let you know in a couple
I'll let you know in a couple of months. I'm a Drupal developer, quitting my job at the end of this month to go full-time freelance.
The world is always open
I find that that the world is always open and I work with people all over the world. Only content we have yet to worked with is South America.
Now if you want just Japanese clients then that might be hard, but you can always be a Kojin-Jigyo in Japan and it can work out well since health insurance and such is no big issue like it would be in the states.
Tax Note
On taxes, if they are outside of Japan, you don't have to charge your clients tax, that is a good selling point there too. Now you still have income tax, but sales tax for outside of Japan, as long as you are based out of Japan, is 0%.
