Who's using Storm?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I'm helping a large (200+) development group look at tools, and Storm is a logical fit (they do Drupal development, among other things). But I'm having trouble actually running down any Storm users with a decent body of experience.

If you've been using it for a whole - ideally for software development - or if you've got a large implementation, please post a bit about your experience here (that way others can share the information) or reach out and contact me directly.

decent project management

i've run a few instances of storm, but not for 200+ users. It's stable and has a good functionality - workflow, time/billing and wiki.

From what i've seen; it's far more 'turn key' and stable than open atrium and drupal commons.

Hi, we are using storm

Hi,

we are using storm together with the other modules in our company (about 100 People) with many companies, projects, tasks and tickets. Not everything is fine yet but we are working on it to get it better.

Using storm

We are a small company, doing mainly Information Security Consulting.
We do some development projects as well.

We are using storm to manage our projects and allow visibility to our customers on ongoing tasks.
Our storm has about 50 users but I don't see much difference between 50 and 200.

We had to develop our own alerting module to support role-based create/update/due-date alerts.

The system isn't perfect yet (what system is?), but it is close (for our use). We are still customizing/developing, but we get very good feedback from our customers.

Main modules we use:
Organizations
People
Teams
Projects
Tasks
Notes
Timetracking

After we do some more customizations, we plan on using:
Invoices
Tickets
Integration with Active Directory

Works perfectly for us

I have been able to modify Storm to fit our needs to the T. We use it primarily as a task management system, it has been relatively easy to modify storm to fit our needs. I made a few modifications like changing vocabulary (we have departments not organizations), editing and adding fields to the tasks and projects for example we assign areas like guest rooms or banquet halls to each task or project so I added a field with 250+ attributes which consist of all the areas and rooms, but for the most part it has served us well as designed. While we don't have 200+ users the 40 or so users we do have use it extensively and up until now it has functioned just as expected. The system has been in use a little over two months now and has a few thousand task entries already. I have it installed into an open atrium profile of drupal together with storm it has become quite a powerful intranet solution.

They say pictures say a thousand words

so how many words to you get from a video, lol. Anyways I put together a quick screencast outlining the modifications and implementation of storm. If you are interested you can view it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qijYtejtD4
