I am hoping to find someone local who could help me configure Drupal Ubercart for a client's site. I haven't done Ubercart before although I have done many Drupal sites. I can pay for the help of a qualified person. I have bought a book and have the site mostly configured but I need someone to help me with a few problems I'm having with implementation. If you have Ubercart experience please contact me and let me know how much you would charge. Thanks for the consideration.

Still need some help...

krainsong's picture

Anyone out there with an hour or so want to earn some money and help me get this Ubercart up and running? I have the products populated in the shopping cart, and now it is just getting the UPS shipping quotes module to work, and maybe some troubleshooting with Authorize.net.
Then maybe walk me through a little bit of testing the site until I get the hang of it.
Please email me if you can help. karen (at) rainsongdesign.net
thanks

Did anyone offer to help?

Just wondering if anyone stepped forward to help you out? I too am at this stage, but can't seem to get any replies to my posts for help. I've set the shopping cart up but just can't work out how to implement the payment side.

Hello krainsong and JeniferTucker

I work a lot better when I can actually see the challenges you are facing and can help you through them.

You can email me @ kms@extanto.com.

help with Ubercart

krainsong's picture

Hi Jenefer and Kyle,
thanks for the replies. I did get some help- someone emailed me privately and I have set him up as an independent contractor to do some work for me. The Ubercart setup problems drove me nuts for awhile, but with persistence and a alot of searching Google for answers, I did finally get some stuff figure out- and with John's help (my contractor- nod to you John!) So I encourage you to keep after it, and if I can help here with specific problems, let me know.
Karen

Thanks Karen ... there's light at the end of the tunnel then ;-/
I've done a whole lot of searching on both drupal.org and ubercart.org as well as groups.drupal but no answers as yet to why I can't set up the payment side of things.

problem

krainsong's picture

What exactly is the problem? What payment gateway are you using? Paypal? I was setting up Authorize.net which was a pain.

Payment gateway

JeniferTucker's picture

I work for a charitable organisation and we already have a PayPoint.net payment gateway, so I have enabled the uc_paypoint module (http://drupal.org/project/uc_paypoint). This is set to run in test mode.

I've also enabled the default credit card gateway and again am running in credit card debug mode.

My assumption is that because they are both in test mode, neither require the actual IDs, etc.

The PayPoint settings show these as secpay for both the merchant ID and VPN password.

As I am not ready to accept credit card payments, the credit card number encryption key filepath is just set to "files" (I read in a posting that this could be anything above the root if just running in test mode).

  • We were unable to process your credit card payment. Please verify your card details and try again. If the problem persists, contact us to complete your order.

help with Ubercart

My first guess is that you do need to put in the merchant ID #'s- you should fill in all the necessary info so it can communicate with payment processor. That's what I did, even though it was in test mode- and it worked.

Thanks

Thanks Karen. I presumed because they were pre-filled that was what default for the test modes. Will give this a go!

Profile Management

Dharini's picture

Hi,

Could anyone please suggest me a module for the following requirement.

Profile mapping module which is about tagging visitors to the product categories that they choose and shop. Based on the profiling the right products need to be displayed on the top pages.

I used Ubercart for product integration but I need to prioritize the products as per the requirement above. I need the most used product to be appearing first on the home page based on number of clicks and the best sold.

Many Thanks in advance,
Dharini
