on my new registration form I get 503 after subitting the form from varnish, and then after refresh I get a message the usser/password already in use.

Is this because I am useing cpatcha for registration form?

Varnish 503

A varnish 503 means that Drupal delivered an error response. Quite possibly the registration form submitted, but something in the resulting redirect or pageload. Look at /var/log/apache2/error.log to see what's going on.

In general, we're looking for a way to better support surfacing error messages/etc to help in development. The varnish 503 page can be nice for the public, but isn't so great for developers.
