Ormoc Developers?

Any local developers around ormoc? Just curious. I am from the states and just seeing if there is a small following where i am at.

Hi! I would recommend looking a bit further, like Cebu City or Tacloban City. From Ormoc, Cebu City is just 2 hours away by SuperKat-fastboatcraft. I stayed for sometime in Ormoc last year for a small social research project. I must admit, Ormoc is very friendly to foreigners and expats; I always see several in downtown and even befriended the husband of my favorite laundry-shop-keeper. But local talents normally go to Cebu or Tacloban City, 2 hours by car up north, to look for greener pastures. The last time I was there, there was no call center in Ormoc, but Tacloban City already has several. Cebu City is closely next to Metro Manila, if not equal to Metro Manila, in economic activity.

There's an upcoming Drupal meetup at the "Techbar" here in Cebu sponsored by Exist.

I'm not sure if I'll be staying here by that time but I will be flying/sailing to Bacolod for a free Drupal workshop together with ShoreCloud, probably next week.

No word on Davao / Boracay yet since I don't have confirmed stay-in accommodations in theese locations at the moment.
