Hey everyone - just wanted to let you know I've updated our group page a bit. Now it has a block for upcoming events that's always at the top and a listing of active content below. This change alone will make it more clear when events are coming up and hopefully allow us to communicate more effectively with new members interested in attending.
What do you want to see on our homepage? Any resources specific to the IE that you think would be nice to have? Maybe the times / dates of related but not necessarily Drupal usergroups in the area (ie Linux groups, etc)?

I noticed the page links out
I noticed the page links out to other groups in Southern California, but not to the San Diego group. Being that the south Inland Empire (ie, Temecula) areas are very close to San Diego, it makes sense that it should. Also, "or the Los Angeles Drupal Group with meetups in Pasadena, Downtown or the official one in Culver City." -- I believe the official stance is there is no "official" meetup for the group. :)
Good point Brenda - I've
Good point Brenda - I've added the San Diego group to the list.
As for the LA group it was my impression there was an official LA Drupal meetup and it's the one in Culver City. With that said it was easier to just remove the list of meetup locations and only link to the group pages. Problem solved.

I agree with Brenda,
I agree with Brenda, definitely makes sense to include SD ... edit: oh, and duh... shoulda read ALL of Chris' post... (problem solved ;-)
FWIW, LA Drupal does have a "Main meetup" each month (currently in culver city).
Its mostly about "meeting title" as a way for people that have more limited time, or new to Drupal, or not yet addicted to drupal, etc. As weird as it may sound we constantly get asked which one should I attend? The correct answer is all of them... but if you can't, well then the main meetup is what we focus on for networking and giveaways ... in addition to everything else. But there's lot's of meetings. For example, Brewpal meetup in Long Beach and Pasadena both earlier this week, and upcoming theres all kinds of stuff: IE, burbank, OC, downtown.
So, lots of meetups and people doing druapllie stuff all the time
