Anyone have any experience with Verve mobile? http://www.vervewireless.com
The media company that owns the newspaper where I work has apparently contracted with Verve to provide mobile versions of our sites. I've been to the Verve website; I can't seem to find any specific information about how it works or what to expect, how much work it might require from our staff, how it would work with or alongside our Drupal site, etc.
I like to know as much as I can about a new technology before I start working with it; any suggestions about how I could find out more about Verve?

RSS-based?
Some of these types of services are RSS-based... they suck content from Drupal into their own DBs and repackage it for mobile.
Personally, I'm not a fan of this approach. Leads to many problems integrating mobile and non-mobile. Doing your mobile from the Drupal side, via a mobile theme and filtering out non-mobile-friendly content, makes more sense.

I, too, would prefer a Drupal-centered approach. I'd actually begun working on a Drupal-based solution in January, using one of my personal test sites to experiment with Mobile Tools, Browscap, and the Fuse Mobile theme. I'd made good progress; I felt I was about halfway to a viable solution, and I was looking at the possibility of adding the Domain Access module to the process. At that point, our publisher and I inquired of the media company's IT team, who told us that a vendor solution was being sought. A week or two later, we received an email informing us that Verve had been chosen as the mobile solution.

I use this module in all website of mine. It work very well.
