ntroduction to Drupal night with a case study on a recent Drupal website deployment.
This night will run through the basics of Drupal such as: general information, installation and administration.
There will also be a short case study on a recent Drupal website deployment by Jaymie Jones.
Feel free to bring up any questions you may have prior to the event that you may have in regards to anything Drupal.
Venue: OnTheNet Offices, Varsity
There has been talks of pitching in approximately $5 each towards having a platter of food made up form Subway or something along those lines, so numbers would be great.

Venue for March Meetup
OntheNet has confirmed we can use the venue again as per last time. Please ensure we have numbers early enough to arrange for food etc to be organised. I would need to have confirmed numbers by at latest the friday prior to the night. This is so i can get the staff at OntheNet to arrange for subways etc to be purchased.

****** please note i have just been advised that due to a power upgrade on the building here at OntheNet there will be no power from 7pm Tuesday night the 22nd. I would suggest that we delay either till the wednesday night 23rd or delay until the following tuesday 29th.

I am not sure about the case study and presentation being recorded as we may be looking at a different topic for this session now, but there will definitely be more case studies in the future.
Tonight we will more than likely be covering starting a Drupal website, from downloading core and contributed modules, all the way up to theming and maintenance.

Big thanks to everyone who came and I hope everyone took something away from it. It was a good night and it was fantastic to see yet again more new faces.
Next week would be good to follow on from where I left off, if anyone wants to have a go, just put your hand up, I am sure we can all learn from each other no matter what the level of skill that anyone has.
I would like to do a case study as well at the next meetup, what is everyones thoughts?
If anyone has any ideas or would like to present at the meetup, please do let me know, this group is aimed at being run by the community in this group, and I dont want to seem like it is me running it. Everyone equally has as much pull as anyone else.
I hope to hear and see everyone soon.
PS: Sorry for the Joomla! bashing, but I have used it quite a bit so I felt I could bash it a little, haha.
