Observations

What's appears to be missing in the Drupal download traffic?

  1. Hosting. Most people are not LAMP experts and setting up a LAMP environment is not easy. We need to make it easier for new users to find a reputable hosting provider.
  2. Documentation and videos. Providing users with links to videos and documentation they can download and print can help a lot.
  3. Developers. Most developers start their development in a Windows environment, and many people who are hearing about Drupal for the first time are not necessary LAMP developers. It is important that we connect them directly to http://drupal.org/setting-up-development-environment
