I have a site built around OG and I want to better organize groups, specifically 1.) to separate "work" groups from "social groups"; 2.) to better categorize groups; 3.) improve the group directories page.
One idea was just to create a CCK text option field to select which type. But I was wondering if there were any other ideas about how to organize OG as the number of groups expand?

I THINK you would want to add a Taxonomy Library and then add that Taxonomy field to the Group.
