I'd like to get to know other Filipinos doing Drupal. What are you doing? What have you learned? What do you want to do better? I've been sharing some of the things I've learned about Drupal at http://sachachua.com/wp/category/drupal, and I'd love to swap notes.
I'll be in Manila from August 10 to August 23, attending my best friend's wedding and visiting my parents. Let's meet up on one of those days - maybe the evening of August 21, somewhere in the Makati area, like Glorietta Greenbelt or someone's office?
I'll be on the plane this weekend. Who wants to step up to the challenge of picking a venue and organizing an informal get-together (or maybe even an impromptu DrupalCamp)? =)

Head count
Our conference room at Stratpoint Technologies at The Fort can accommodate 50 heads (I think). While I'm arranging things with my boss fingers crossed, maybe we can already have a head count of those who will come?

Update: positive responses from two my bosses. Will try to finalize things tomorrow (Monday) when I talk to them personally. So, who's in?

Any volunteer presenters? It would be nice if we can have Iren Cruz present the module she developed. Same goes for those who also have contributions to Drupal.
Is the logo of Drupal open-source? Maybe we can have someone create a teaser for the event that we can post to our blogs.

Nice to know it that you invite me to come for that meet up, but unfortunately am far from manila...nasa Negros Occidental kaya ako, and not only that i need to travel for almost 5 hours pa sa bus from my place papuntang airport...

I think lightning
I think lightning presentations would work really well for this. =)
Instead of having one or two people talk for one hour each, I want to listen to and meet as many people as possible. So, if you've worked on a Drupal module, contributed in some way, come across a terrific tip, prepare (or ad-lib!) a presentation NO LONGER THAN SEVEN MINUTES. Slides are optional. At the end of seven minutes, we'll buzz you off and bring on the next speaker. I'd be thrilled to observe the same constraints myself - it's a great way to make people get to the point. ;)

Ilan ba ang naka-contribute na or something sa drupal project? i guess masyado pa ito konti.
So kung gusto natin ng maraming magsalita.. focus on the Tips na lang.. maybe 10 minutes each. Ito naman ang mas interesting sa marami sa atin. if people are willing to share.

Do you guys already talk about the date and where to held the venue for the meet up?Bdw, i think it would be impossible for me to come, am quite far from manila, i am here part of Negros Occidental...Maybe there are few here from the groups to volunteer for the presentation naman eh, more drupal member in manila, you got marc.robinsone, DL..and etc...How we wish to share our modules to the group...but i think few minutes is not enough to present our modules...do you guys already have some plans what to do for the meet up?like the things needed to bring...does every volunteer for the presentation need for a slideshow?It is more better way, if there is...
