Hi All,
First of all, sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong place.
I'm looking for someone to sit-down and help walk me through a Drupal install. I've tried and reached some troubles that I don't know how to resolve. If you're in Portland, willing, and available, let me know.
thanks

Your best bet
I'm not saying that you won't find someone here to volunteer some time for you individually, but most developers (including me) are always a bit overbooked and it may be hard to get that kind of direct tutorial gratis.
But the good news is that you can almost certainly find help at the monthly user group meetings (2nd Wednesday) or even better, at the Brewpal meetups (4th Tuesday) where experienced people are there precisely to share tips and pointers for anyone with a question or issue.

I second Roger's advice the regular group meet ups are the best way to get help from the pros without a large investment. Of course you need to show up willing and ready to learn. Nobody there will do any work for you but we are all happy to answer questions and point you at the right documentation.
In fact I'll help you after the group meet-up on April 13th at the Lucky Lab if you'd like. Bring your laptop with a full charge and I can answer some questions. If you don't have a laptop I can walk you through the steps on mine.
