The idea is to create a module that lets users share their social profile with the fellow members in the site.
To begin with, once the module is installed, the user should be able to configure the module. He should be able to connect his account with other social sites. Once connected he has his choice on deciding what is to be displayed publicly(to guests as well as other members of the site), privately(only to other members of the site).
I would also like to introduce 'friends'. The concept is that a user can invite other users to be his friend. The user can then configure the module so that he may share even something personal in his social profile (say, the photo of his girlfriend in his Picasa Web Albums account) with his friends.
Once the module is installed and configured, the user profile should be updated, and should now be displayed according to the module configuration. The user may also choose his profile picture, (which by default is the picture uploaded by the user while setting up his account) to be his Facebook profile picture, Twitter profile picture etc.
May be by using Google Friend Connect, the user notified of other users who may be his friend (some one he might know). A link to his social profiles can also be displayed (like the users Facebook account, something like: http://facebook.com/user; users Twitter account, like http://twitter.com/user etc.)
In short, the user may share his entire social profile with his fellow users in the site.
