Suggestions for future topics

DamianSemple's picture

Hi there, I enjoyed the session on Monday. Really informative - thanks Guy, Dan and Steve. I've got a few suggestions for future topics. Far from comprehensive and, admittedly, totally driven by my own interests :D
Cheers,
Damian

Drupal 7
- Drupal 7: Improvements over 6
- New site implementation: 5 (or 10) most wanted website features and how to solve them with D7
- D6 v D7 Modules: What D6 has and what D7 is missing.

Social Media Publishing
- Best modules for integrating social publishing - Facebook, YouTube and Twitter
- Signing in through Facebook / Twitter
- Posting on Facebook and Twitter from your Drupal site, and vice versa

SEO - What works
- Structure
- Code tweaks
- Best modules
- Best techniques
- Checklist

Theming
- Creating a new sub-theme start to finish using a starter theme

And maybe a whole session on Views and CCK?

Cheers Damian, glad you found

Cheers Damian, glad you found it useful.

Many of these suggestion sound great. We have a wiki page somewhere for suggestions like this - struggling to find the link at the moment though... watch this space...

here it is

Nice list

Nice big meaty topics.
Would be interesting to maybe have a few talks by different people cover the same larger topic topic in one day.
We can have smaller talks on a subset like Social Media so one talk about social publishing one about facebook integration, a talk on Gamification and one about social media strategies.

Basic GIT resources

Indeed, thank you very much. Was great to see how Drupal stands up security wise and also be aware of some possible issues.

Also need to get to grips with git as i don;t use version control at the mo.
