Performance Group: please don't kill me for this post. I've been learning a lot about Drupal as of late. I'm an ex-Windows server admin, so jumping into LAMP and Drupal has been a little overwhelming.
I've got Mercury running on a Linode with 1GB of RAM right now. Need advice on where to go to read up on what to do next. My site is done and I know that Apache, MySQL, Varnish, Pressflow....all of that stuff needs tuning. My site will be 100% authenticated users.
Not afraid to read the docs, just need help in locating the magic place the good ones are kept.
THANKS.

The Mercury LAMP-stack i something i would consider already tuned to the point where you should not do too much unless you know absolutely what you are doing. A few starter points might be with tuning MySQL, for this i'd consult the Linode Library, and properly setup Apache2 to match your resources, as most of your hits will go to backend anyway.
