Kia Ora everyone, isn't Drupal awesome

I am considering organising a Drupal Camp in the Bay of Islands or Whangarei. This is where our company (Manaaki Solutions Ltd, http://www.manaakisolutions.co.nz) is based and Drupal has been an awesome tool for organisations in the North. I am not aware of any other gatherings besides the one planned for Christchurch. Do the members think it may be a good idea?

The ChCh one is more of a national get-to-gether -- we could perhaps all meet up there, and plan a follow up event in the tropical north... Drupal North?

Perhaps a mid winter Drupal North

The climate up here is still pretty good (besides the odd flood) Maybe Drupal North could be held in the Bay of Islands during winter. There are lots of hotels/motels wanting business at this time making accommodation and conference rooms cheaper during this period. Maybe June 2009 making Drupal South and Drupal North roughly 6 months apart.
