It was so nice to meet Drupalistas from other Scandinavian countries at the DrupalCon two weeks ago. To keep the fire burning and continue building bridges, I am listing here the Drupal IRC channels of the Scandinavian countries. This also gives us the opportunity to chat in realtime with other people we have not met before.
I know we cannot order beer from Druplicon (bot), that just have to wait in the next meet-up/camp/con :-)

- #drupal-norge for Norwegian Drupal users. Though you can visit this channel anytime you want, Drupal Norge recommends a chat schedule from 21:00H every Wednesday and Sunday.

I don't know if Drupal.fi have an irc channel. Do you guys have one?

I'm new to this group so I don't know if Drupal.fi has their own irc channel. I just wanted to mention that I think it's a great idea to connect people in Scandinavian countries - there's not that many of us. Now I just wish my Swedish was better :P
scandinavian channel?
as far as i know drupal finland doesn't have an irc channel. most of the conversation takes place in drupal.fi forums. i'm not quite sure there would be the critical mass to keep an irc channel alive at the moment. also the trouble with all these different channels is the language barrier. but i think a channel for all the scandinavians, where english would be the common language, might be a good idea.

#drupal.fi, #drupal-se, #drupal-denmark and #drupal-norge channels have so little traffic that having another channel like #drupal-scandinavia might not be a good idea.
The four existing channels don't even come up when you search for the word drupal on freenode because a channel needs to have a certain average number of users per day. Joining numerous channels at the same time is quite normal in irc, so why don't we help all the scandinavian channels by joining all of them (plus #drupal and others of personal interest) when we log in to freenode. By then, all the scandinavian channels will be active.

Actually, Finnish Drupalists have an IRC channel at Freenode - #drupal.fi .Currently it's mainly used for idling but from time to time there has been some discussions, usually in Finnish. Regular (perhaps weekly, or bi-weekly) IRC meetup with fellow Drupalists from Finland could be a good idea and it would bring some live to the sleepy channel :)

We are trying to accomplish a bi-weekly IRC meetup in Drupal Norway. We have announced a suggested schedule that hopefully wil work. Probably it is a good idea for drupal.fi to do the same. :-)
